It seems that no living being is immune to swine flu. It has been reported that a cat in Iowa has been tested positive for the H1N1 virus. This obviously is a foreshadowing of the end of times. This disease discriminates not. Whether you are man or beast, you are in danger of contracting this virus and being uncomfortable for a few days (in most cases). But let’s get back to the matter of the poor cat.
With this new revelation, it is imperative that the government and pharmaceutical companies redouble their efforts to get even more vaccines on the market to stop the rising pet swine flu pandemic. Human can fend for themselves but the poor pets are helpless against this evil disease.
…the case is prompting the association, along with the American Association of Feline Practitioners, to remind pet owners “they should monitor their pets’ health very closely, no matter what type of animal, and visit a veterinarian if there are any signs of illness.” (Washing Post)
So for the love of God, please keep a close eye on your pets, especially cats. And even more importantly, keep your children away from your pets. They might get sick by contracting the swine flu virus brought home from school or the playground.

I can has evil?
Lots of people will tell you that pets are beneficial to your health and well-being. There have been studies showing as much. But there are also studies that show that a loving and nurturing pet might not be the universal case. And anyone who’s tripped over their cat, who seems to know just how to get purposely under foot, will attest to their malicious potential.
One scientist – Harold Herzog, who has a book with an incredibly long title – is looking for something a bit more objective. The studies, he argued, are rife with irregularities and inconsistencies. Well, yeah, what’d you expect? Accuracy? From pet owners? That’ll happen. Ask a dog owner how he or she feels right after the pooch tears through a favorite pair of slippers and you’ll get one answer. Ask the same owner after the pooch tears through the leg of a burglar and you’ll get another.
Heck, people can’t even agree on what constitutes a “pet”; you think they can agree on a standardized test to determine if they’re beneficial to your health? Don’t hold your breath. If you do and pass out, you really think the cat’s going for help? Only if it benefits him.
